こんにちは。稲垣ゼミ3年の竹島萌花です。

今週のゼンマイはヴィセンテ伊藤さんでした。伊藤さんのVogue5への愛が伝わってきました。私も中国語を学んでいるので、機会があればぜひこのアイドルの曲を聞いてみたいです。また、とても驚いたのはK-popやJ-popのように中国語もC-popと一種類に分類されるのかと思っていたけれど、中国の場合だと広東語と中国語〈標準語〉の二種類に分類されるという事です。勉強になりますね。

そして今回の授業ではMMMに向けて那珂湊高校とのコラボをどう進めていくかの話し合いが行われました。

MMMを通して那珂湊の人々と地域との関りを表現していくうえで、協力してくださる那珂湊高校の生徒の考えと自分たちの考えを融合させ、かつ現実的に考えて実現させていくことの大変さを考えさせられました。

また、個人研究で那珂湊高校の生徒とコラボする鈴木さん、原さん、秋月さん、そしてチーム平野さんによるプレゼンテーションを行いました。

今後MMMに向けてどんなふうに進めていくのか、そして実際どんな作品になるのかとても楽しみです。

Hello, I’m Moka Takeshima. I’m a third-year student in the Inagaki Seminar.

This week’s zenmai was Vicente Ito. I could feel Mr. Ito’s love for Vogue5. I’m also learning Chinese, so if I get a chance, I’d love to listen to the songs of this idol. I was also surprised to learn that, like K-pop and J-pop, Chinese is classified as one type of C-pop, but in the case of China, it is classified into two types: Cantonese and Chinese (Mandarin). I’m learning a lot.

And in this class, they discussed how to proceed with the collaboration with Nakaminato High School for MMM.

In expressing the relationship between the people of Nakaminato and the community through the MMM, we were made to think about the difficulty of integrating the ideas of the students of Nakaminato High School, who are cooperating with us, with our own ideas, and realistically considering and realizing them.

There were also presentations by Ms. Suzuki, Ms. Hara, Ms. Akizuki, and Team Hirano, who are collaborating with students from Nakaminato High School for their individual research.

こんにちは。稲垣ゼミ2年、平野蒼衣です。

今回のゼミもぜんまいからスタートしました。担当者は久保田さんです。「Koganecho Area Management Center」という題名で横浜市黄金町で行われているアート関連のイベントについてシェアしてくださいました。横浜トリエンナーレは去年ゼミ活動としても参加をしていたそうですね。私は横浜市民でありながらこのようなイベントが開催されていることを知らなかったので、次回開催するときは是非行ってみたいと思います。久保田さん大変興味深いプレゼンテーションをありがとうございました。

ぜんまいの後は今後のゼミの予定についての確認を行いました。MMMが近づいてきて、ゼミの共同制作や個人制作について具体的な方針が徐々に決まってきました。地元の高校生とのコラボの話も出ています。開催日まで残り約2か月、コロナ禍でオンラインツールを駆使しながらではありますが、地元の人と協力しつつ、いいものを作りたいですね。
ゼミの共同制作（my place)でインタビューをもとにした看板アートの製作をするにあたって、稲垣先生が参考作品を紹介してくださいました。

そして、ワークショップでもインタビューをもとにして文章を作る練習を行いました。インタビュイーは稲垣先生と私でした。今回もJamboardを使って4つのチームに分かれて議論を行い、インタビューから聞き取れた単語を使って新たに文章を構築して行きます。

これが意外と難しかったです…。ただでたらめに単語を並べると事実と違いすぎる文ができてしまうし、かといってインタビューから聞いたままの文章だと、事実をただ述べただけの文になってしまう。「作品」として新たな文章にするにはどうしたらいいのか…考えるきっかけになりました。
それから、初めてインタビュイーをしましたが、自分のことについて話すのは結構気恥ずかしかったです…。自分の話したことがどのような文章になるのか、これは今週の課題になっているので、次回皆さんが作った文章を見るのが楽しみです。

Hello. I’m Aoi Hirano, a second-year student in the Inagaki Seminar.

This seminar also started with zenmai. The person in charge of it is Ms.Kubota. The title of her presentation was “Koganecho Area Management Center” and She shared with us about the art-related events held in Koganecho, Yokohama. I heard that students had participated in the Yokohama Triennale as a seminar activity last year. Although I am a citizen of Yokohama, I did not know that such an event was held there, so I would like to visit the next time it is held. Thank you very much, Ms. Kubota for your very interesting presentation.

After that, we check our plans for MMM, and as MMM is approaching. we are gradually deciding on concrete plans for the seminar’s collaboration and individual projects. It is also talked that collaboration with local high school students. We have only about two months until the event, I would like to create something good while cooperating with local people, even if it needs to use of online tools at Covid19.
Professor Inagaki introduced us to a reference work for our seminar’s collaborative project (my place) to create a signboard art based on the interview.

And we also practiced making sentences based on the interview in the workshop. The interviewees were Professor Inagaki and me. We used Jam board to discuss in teams of four again and construct new sentences using the words we heard from the interviews.

This was surprisingly difficult… If I just randomly put words together, It would be too different from the facts. However if I just wrote what I heard from the interview, It would be just stated the facts. It gave me a chance to think about how to make a new sentence as a “work of art”.
Then, I did my first interview, and I was quite embarrassed to talk about myself… This week’s assignment is to make sentences from what I’ve said, so I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s writing next week.

そんなMMMも近づいてきた6月、今回のゼミについて”私が”振り返りたいと思います。

まず初めにゼンマイ、担当は萩原さんです。今回のテーマは「チョコレート」でした。私たちの知らないチョコレートについての世界。
今回も英語のみでのプレゼンや質疑応答が行われました。
毎週この時間は英語を意識するいい機会です。

ゼミ活動前半

MMMについての懸念事項と作品の設置空間の重要性について学びました。

美術作品は見せ方で大きく変わる。
いかに空間を巧みに操るか、についてソフィ・カルや稲垣先生の過去の展示例をもとに確認しました。

こうして１つ１つ、MMMへの準備を進めています。

ゼミ活動後半

インタビューについての練習の１つとしてワークショップをしました。

私たちが聞いている言葉は私たちの中で勝手に再構成していることについて面白く（シュールレアリスム的に）捉える試みで、

①、法政市ヶ谷キャンパスの思い出をそれそれが単語で挙げる
②、①で上げた単語を意味が通るように再構成する

といった手順で行いました。

オンラインの中でもJOB BOARDなどのツールを使い、やり方を議論しました。

結果的には４チームそれぞれ個性のある文章になりました。

※（個人的にはこのワークショップを通じて考えるものは、インタビューを単語だけで理解しても、そこには自分の解釈が生まれるため文脈が変わることに留意することでしょうか。この点に関しては自分がまだ上手に言語化できていません。あるいは無意味で、その点で意味があるのかもしれません）

といった内容で今日のゼミは終わりです。

今日の稲垣先生の印象に残った一言は「人生は実験なので、なんでもやってみろ」です。

Let’s review what we did the seminar activity !!

Today’s ZENMAI is Hagiwara’s role.
She make a presentation  about “chocolate”.
The chocolate world unknown to us.
Everybody speak English only. this Q and A session is useful in the future.
This time have a chance to lean English.

First half of the seminar.

We learn about  the MMM project more and more.
Also, we were conscious of the awareness of space.
Artworks have a direct influence of space.
We learn the use of space. For example, artworks of Sophie Calle and Inagaki  Tatsuo.
We proceed with preparations of MMM step by step.

Latter half of the seminar.

We did the workshop related with interview practice .
We reconstruct(vary)  what you said. And it seem interesting from the Surrealist perspective point view .

1  List  the memories about Hosei university.
2  Reconstruct any words and adition some text.

We did this workshop online.

As a result , the workshop’s results (reconstructed text)  look like Surrealist perspective.

That’s all .

The best word which touched my heart is  “ Life is an experiment. Try anything “ in today’s  Inagaki seminar.

今回のゼミ活動では、ゼミに所属する学生がMMMでの個人研究について発表しました。

ゼミと那珂湊高校のコラボ企画であるMy placeと、その企画に各々の個人研究がどのように関連付けられるかについて話し合いました。

ゼミ生には絵が得意な人、動画制作ができる人、脚本がかける人、写真にこだわりがある人、ダンスが得意な人、異文化に精通している人など、個性豊かな人がたくさんいます。

それぞれの個性を生かした作品が今から楽しみです。

Today, each student presented our own “personal study” for MMM.

We talked about the relationship between our studies and “My place”, the study that our seminar and Nakaminato high school work  together,.

In this seminar, there are a lot of students and each student has each talents. For example, some students are good at drawing, editing movies, writting screenplay, taking pictures, dancing, foreign cultures…..

I am looking forward to their studies which our individualities are showed!!

　今回は5/26のゼミ活動と5/27に行われたMMM実行委員との打ち合わせについて話します。

• 5月26日　ゼミ活動

　まず先週の課題である「那珂湊の住民の方にインタビューができた場合、どのような作品を作るか」についての意見を共有しました。映像、写真、ジオラマ、絵画、リアル脱出ゲームなど様々な案が出てきましたが、どれも住民の方の那珂湊での思い出のエピソードだけでなく、猫駅長や海鮮物、地元の高校生など那珂湊に関係するものを取り入れた作品案でした。作品イメージの近い人同士ではチームを組むなど、少しずつ作品の構想が形になってきています。

　次にゼミ全体での作品であるMy Place (看板アート)の内容を整理し、インタビュー先の候補や実施方法、展示方法について話し合いました。インタビュー先の候補として商店街や那珂湊高校、鉄道、祭りなどがあがり、感染症対策をしながらどう実施するか話し合いました。展示場所は看板アートを屋外に展示し、ホテルは取材のドキュメントやプロジェクトのコンセプトを伝えるインフォメーションスペースとして、また個人研究の展示場所として利用することになりました。誰にどのようにインタビューをすることができるのか、展示場所としてどこをどのように利用できるかを、次の日のミーティングで伺うことにしました。

• Activity of the seminar on May 26th

 First, we shared each project idea which were made from episodes of the memories of residents in Nakaminato city.  There were various ideas like movies, photos and games, but every projects had connections with Nakaminato city and its famous things such as a cat stationmaster and a fish market. Some members decided to form teams with them who had similar ideas, and our project ideas are gradually taking shape.

 Next, we also talked about the detail of our team project, “My Place”. We discussed how to interview the residents,and exhibit our artworks. After discussion, we decided to ask the executive committees how we can interview, and how and where we can exhibit.

• 5月27日　MMM実行委員とのミーティング

　MMMの実行委員の方と私達の企画について、特にインタビューと展示の仕方について話し合いました。インタビューの対象者は一旦商店街と那珂湊高校の両方に絞り、ホテルの利用方法はリアル脱出ゲームなどの特殊な使い方をする場合は交渉する必要があることがわかりました。そのため今後はインタビューの対象者と方法、企画書作りを進めていくことになりそうです。

• Meeting with the executive committees of MMM on May 27th

 We, Inagaki seminar members, and the executive committees talked about our project plan especially the way of interview and exhibition. We temporarily decided to focus the target of our interview on people of shopping street and a high school of Nakaminato city. We also need to make the plan of the use of hotels for the negotiation.

本日は、MMM、アートとは、ゼミ生の持ち込み企画の3つをやりました。

MMM

現地の高校の協力も得て映像作品をどのように進めていくかを話し合いました。どのような内容のものを作るのか、形式はどうするのかなどより良い作品となるように意見が出されました。完成までまっしぐらです。

アートとは

アート作品を作るうえで大切なのが「答えを定めないこと」です。

受け手が自由に作品のイメージを受け取ることに意味があり、作者はその答えを限定することはできません。

こんにちは。四年生の大野真依です(^_^)

［第５回］今週のゼミでは、MMMの作品制作の方針決めと当ゼミの歴史について振り返りをしました。

MMM（みなとメディアミュージアム 2020-2021）

まず、MMMについてです。コロナの影響で現地との関わりが難しいことが課題としてずっとあり、コンスタントに議論を続けています。徐々に作品内容は固まりつつあるので、楽しみにしていてくださいね！！見に来てくださると、ゼミ生はみんな喜びます！

海外フィールドスクール

国際文化学部では「海外フィールドスクール」という東南アジアでワークショップを行う授業を実施しています。これは元々当ゼミの教授稲垣立男と学部教授数名で主導して企画していたもので、タイやフィリピンなどに長期休みを利用して訪れていました。これは、タイの幼稚園生との文化交流をした時のものです。

他にも、海外だけではなく国内でも地域と密接に関わる交流をしてきました。これは、2009年に参加した、越後妻有アートトリエンナーレに参加した時の新潟県魚沼市干溝集落でのアートプロジェクトです。空き家に博物館を作ったり、子どもたちのリクエストに答えて村にコンビニがないということで空き家のキッチンを利用して創作コンビニを作ったりしました。

また、今回のゼミでは稲垣教授が自身のバックグラウンドやこれまでの取り組みを紹介して頂きました。コロナ禍で中々外に出る機会もなく、凝り固まった思考に刺激を受け、とてもインスパイアされました。

どれも非常にたのしそうです。コロナが終息することを願うばかりです。

Hi, this is Mai Ono at the 4th grade (^_^)

In a seminar in this week, we talked about how to proceed with our work on MMM. Also professor Inagaki explained what this seminar has been doing before COVID-19.

MMM

Because of COVID-19, it’s difficult to get start a project in a face-to-face way. So we’ve been discussing how to get over it. Although I cannot refer directly to the details of our work, it’ll be so interesting. I hope you come to see it!

What is Fieldwork Abroad?

Inagaki Seminar has participated in Fieldwork Abroad every summer. We used to go abroad; Thailand, Philipin to spend time with local people having some recreation.

This pic is when Inagaki Seminar were at a kindergarten in Thailand in 2017. We introduced “radio exercises; traditional exercises in Japan” to them. Also they taught us that of Thailand.

Not only in foreign country, but in Japan we have had many Fieldwork. For example, “Himizo Museum Project 2009” is one of the workshops that have held in Japan. We talked with locals and created some works of art. This photo shows a work which represents ‘a convenience store’ using a vacant house.

But now, especially in this two years, Fieldwork Abroad has not been held due to COVID-19, again.

I hope someday, we can gather and do something interesting.

・4月28日　第四回ゼミ活動

こんにちは。稲垣ゼミ4年の前田です。今週のブログでは第4回目のゼミの活動について記述します。

今回のぜんまいは、矢野さんの担当でした。私は、参加が遅れてしまいゼンマイをしっかり聞くことができず残念でしたが、みなさんしっかりと毎回英語で発表・質疑応答されています。

そして今回のゼミでは先週に引き続きMMMでの作品の話し合いを行いました。ゼミ生全員が、意見を出しやりたい作品についての構想を提出し、そこからブラッシュアップしていきました。ですが、コロナ禍ということもありやりたいこととできることの現実と理想の難しさに直面する場面もありました・・・

そして、作品を展示する場所は那珂湊にある「ホテル」という方針を決定しました。まだまだどんな案になるか話し合いが必要ではありますが、ゼミ生一同頑張って良い作品を制作できるよう努めていきます。

・4/28 4th seminar activity

Hello, I’m Akane, a 4th student at Inagaki Seminar.I describe the activity of the fourth seminar with the blog of this week.

Today’s Zenmei is Yano. I couldn’t hear his speech because of late.Everybody speak English every time well and is had a question-and-answer session announcement.

And we  talked about the work in MMM by this seminar secondary to last week.All the seminar students submitted the design about the work which they gave an opinion and wanted to do, and we brushed it up from there.But, there was the scene which faced difficulty of reality and the ideal.

Finally, we decided on the place to display work at a hotel in Nakaminato. We’ll do the best to make good works for MMM!

こんにちは。稲垣ゼミ４年の遠藤です。今週のブログでは、MMMの作品作りのため訪れた茨城県那珂湊でのフィールドワークと、4/21に行われた第三回目のゼミ活動についてお話ししようと思います。

MMM、本格的に始動。

茨城県ひたちなか市の那珂湊で行われているMMM（みなとメディアミュージアム）。昨年はコロナの影響で中止となってしまいましたが、今年はMMM開催予定なので稲垣ゼミでも参加する予定です。作品展示場所の下見もかねて、作品作りのインスピレーションを得るため、数名のゼミメンバーで那珂湊を訪問しました。

那珂湊を訪問し、観光名所や作品展示場所を回ったことで、作品のアイデアがいろいろ出てきました。このアイデアを、今度はゼミ内で話し合います。

・4/21 第三回ゼミ活動

4/21は第三回目のゼミ活動でした。最初に、ぜんまいの発表から始まります。今回は猫好きなゼミメンバーが”猫島”について発表してくれました！島にいる猫の数が、島の人口数と同等、もしくはそれ以上の島のことを指す言葉だそう。。筆者も行ってみたくなりました。

次に、個人研究アイデアの発表を行いました。新しくゼミに入った2、3年生も深く考えて個人研究案を出してくれました。映像やZINE、切り株アートなど、どんな作品が作られるのか今から楽しみです。

そして後半はMMMについて話し合いました。那珂湊フィールドワークを行い、私たちは”外部”（私たち）からみた那珂湊を表現する作品ではなく、”内部”の那珂湊に住む人たちから教えてもらう方向性で作品作りをすることに決めました。作品の概要としてははっきりとは定まっていませんが、今後も議論を進めていき、ゼミ生全員で協力しながら作品制作を進めていきます。

こんにちは！4年の上田と申します。

今回もオンラインでゼミを行いました。時は早いものでもう第二回です。また、個人研究を考え始める時期になってまいりました。去年、最初の個人研究を制作してから1年が経とうとしているなんて驚きです。そんなこんなで第二回も多くの人が参加してくれました。

本日は最初にこれからの方針を確認しました。次に素晴らしい司会とともに、去年3，4年生が制作した各々の個人研究発表会を行いました。また、ぜんまいを英語で発表するという新たな試みも行いました。初めての試みであったにも関わらず、素晴らしい発表でした。さらに、多くの人が英語で質問を行っていたため、いい取り組みだと感じています。

Hello! My name is Ueda, and I am in my fourth year.

Once again, the seminar was held online. Time flies, and it’s already the second seminar. And also it’s time to start thinking about personal research. It’s amazing that it’s already been a year since I made my first personal research last year. So many people participated in the second session.

Today we first went over our plans for the future. Next, with a wonderful MC, we had a presentation on each of the individual research projects created by the 3rd and 4th graders last year. We also made a new attempt to present Zenmai in English. Even though it was the first attempt, the presentations were excellent. Furthermore, many people asked questions in English, which I felt was a good initiative.
